A project for Re-Cult ordered by the local merchant association Malmö Citysamverkan. The task was to develop a concept that made use of the wireless network in Malmö city’s retail district, with a focus on local services. The final product was to be presented to the client in the form of a video scenario.
Our solution was a shopping tool called Mobile Shopping Support which gave the users the possibility to browse for clothes in a mobile application. The range of clothes made available was determined by a profile tailored to the user, this profile was then being fine-tuned as the user bought clothes and paid with his/her mobile phone in the area. The user also had the possibility to project the mobile phone’s display onto a larger surface on specific locations, making it possibly to share his/her clothing choices with others.
